Minimalist Paintings — Extra Large Canvas Art

Minimalist art works best when a few elements hold the wall—one field, one seam, a soft stack of rectangles—not an empty square that just matches the paint. These handmade canvases keep that quiet at an extra large scale, so the surface still looks finished from the sofa.

Start with depth. White walls need a mid-value field so the work doesn't vanish. Oak and linen pair with sand and warm off-white; gray rooms pair with plaster and cool blue-gray. If the rug is already busy, keep drawing off the canvas.

Each piece is painted to order in the language of the listing photos. Horizontal and tall formats are available, and contrast can usually sit softer to match your light. Browse extra large minimalist paintings below, then send a wall width if you need a custom stretch.
